FAQs for Ai Search Optimization

A small observation from recent AI SEO testing:

Many websites still use fancy accordion FAQs to keep pages looking clean. While that may help the design, it doesn’t always help AI systems understand your content.

In several cases I’ve reviewed, non-collapsible FAQs and content sections performed better because the information is immediately visible in the page content instead of being hidden behind clicks.

AI search engines and LLMs want clear, accessible information. If important answers are tucked away inside complex accordions, there’s a chance they receive less attention than content that is fully exposed on the page.

Good design matters, but visibility matters too.

Sometimes the simplest FAQ layout wins.
