Local SEO Werribee (AEO + GEO + AI Search Optimization)

A few months ago, a doctor came to me with a common wish:

“I’m standing at zero. I need calls. I have keywords but zero search volume.”

He had the profile and the website, but zero visibility on Google Maps.

I didn’t open a fancy keyword research tool or worry about SEMrush or Ahrefs data. Instead, I went deeper. I researched what his local community was actually typing in to find his services.

I call it “hidden” Local SEO because these are terms that SEO tools don’t show, but that Google understands implicitly to create relevancy.

I optimized his entire Google Business Profile. The two most important things I did were:

  1. Detailed, locally relevant descriptions that included his expertise, which later became keywords in Google Search Console.
  2. Service listings with unique, area-specific descriptions.

The result?

The tools still show zero search volume for many of these keywords, but the reality is in the data:

• 30–40 calls per month
• 1,000+ profile interactions
• 60+ website clicks

The same level of performance is now showing across his two other profiles as well, which means he is benefiting from his presence at three different hospital locations.

There is immense value in finding the hidden opportunities that generic SEO tools miss. If your Local SEO feels stuck, maybe it’s time to stop looking at search volume data and start looking at what people in your area are actually searching for.

Now I’m expanding his website from Werribee-focused visibility to broader Melbourne visibility so he can attract patients from across Melbourne.
